Re-Imagining your Course for Online Instruction

Date
Thursday, July 9, 2020 - 12:00pm to 1:00pm
Location
Zoom

As many of us may have learned in spring, the transition from face to face to online instruction is not necessarily a smooth one. Practices that were effective in the classroom may not work well online. For instance, how do you ensure that rich class discussions, spontaneous insights and clarification questions during lecture are preserved in an online setting? Additionally, our in-class exams may not translate well online and can introduce concerns about academic integrity. This workshop will tackle these issues and provide strategies to modify teaching practices and measures of learning for online instruction. Our course outcomes can be achieved online, and this workshop will give participants tangible strategies to accomplish this. Offered mid-June and mid-July.
