Learning Experiences during the COVID-19 Pandemic: Snapshot from Fall 2020 Survey

As campus operations shifted online last spring, Fawn Canady (Education) and Joel Gould (CTET) anticipated that the pandemic would have a tremendous impact on the experiences of teaching and learning. They wanted to better understand the emergent needs, rapid adjustments, creative innovations, and diverse experiences of our faculty and students in order to provide the community with feedback to improve future teaching practices. Upon receiving expedited IRB approval, they surveyed students at the end of Spring 2020. Kyla Walters (Sociology) and Cora Orma (LARC) soon joined the team and helped develop more robust surveys regarding student and faculty experiences during the Fall 2020 semester.

Now, the team is excited to present preliminary findings from this most recent round of surveys. Join them for a data-driven discussion about teaching and learning during COVID-19. Please see the link above to review a brief summary of the team’s preliminary findings.
