– 1:00 pm
Join CTET for a one-hour demonstration of Google Gemini, NotebookLM, and the Gemini integration available through Canvas. Rather than focusing on prompting techniques, we’ll explore what distinguishes these tools and demonstrate practical ways they can support teaching and learning.
We’ll take a closer look at NotebookLM and its educational possibilities. Unlike a general-purpose AI conversation, NotebookLM allows users to build a workspace around a collection of selected sources and then interact with those materials through AI. We’ll explore how that source-centered model can create useful opportunities for students to engage with readings and other course materials, compare and synthesize sources, review concepts, and explore questions within a faculty-curated environment.
This session is designed as an accessible introduction. No previous experience with Gemini or NotebookLM is required.
