Spring 26 Turnitin Clarity Pilot

Turnitin Clarity

In Spring 26, CTET is piloting Turnitin Clarity, an online writing platform that we hope will help faculty and students have a more intentional relationship with college writing in the age of AI. Clarity advertises that it will allow instructors to see their student’s writing process, including revising and pasting in text; and also lets instructors fine-tune the amount of AI that they allow students to use in their writing. We’ve arranged for SSU faculty to be able to use it through May 30, 2026, so that we can both provide Turnitin with feedback, and decide if we want to explore Clarity for long-term faculty use.

If you would like to be a part of our Turnitin Clarity pilot, we ask the following:

  • You’ll attend a one-on-one onboarding session with a member of the CTET staff. This will take 20-30 minutes of your time. Drop into CTET in-person or via Zoom at a time that works for you.
  • If you ultimately decide to use Clarity in at least one of your Spring 2026 assignments, you’ll complete a survey that we provide to give us feedback on the tool. It’s critical that pilot users complete the survey, as this is how we’ll make the case for (against?) licensing Clarity after this pilot.
