Lunch and Learn: Teaching Research Methods with Sage
Salazar 1061 OR Zoom
12:00 pm
– 1:30 pm
Come learn about your access to Sage Research Methods (SRM) through the Sonoma State University Library! SRM is the only resource dedicated to training researchers at all levels in how to navigate the research process from idea to publication. The resources cover the steps of coming up with a research question, doing a literature review, planning a project, collecting and analyzing data, and writing up a report, dissertation, or thesis, plus detailed information on hundreds of qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods. With more than 1,000 books, reference works, journals articles, and instructional modules and videos by world-leading academics from across the disciplines, including the largest collection of qualitative methods books available online from any scholarly publisher, Sage Research Methods is a valuable resource for any faculty member or student.
Join your Sage Engagement Team to learn more about the ways you can use SRM to enhance your instruction or reference interactions and how it can assist students in advancing their own learning and completing their capstone projects.
As a result of this session, you will be able to:
- Identify the various resource’s content types and navigate SRM with expert understanding
- Embed SRM content into your workflows, class design, and reading lists
- Instruct your researchers and colleagues on how SRM can enhance their research
- Search for information across content types and disciplines that assist with your own research and/or instruction
Lunch will be provided and Sage experts will be on hand to demonstrate the tool and answer your questions.
