SAS
SAS software is used by SSU’s Math department for statistical analysis and instruction.
Accessibility
Sonoma State University is committed to instructional materials accessibility. In support of this, faculty should be aware of the following accessibility limitations of the SAS software:
The SAS Suite is known to pose limited navigational barriers to blind and visually impaired users. Focus occasionally changes unexpectedly when navigating with a keyboard or screen reader. Text is occasionally lost or truncated when resized.
Given these limitations, faculty who choose to use this software in their courses are legally responsible to create an equally effective alternative assignment that does not use the inaccessible software, as an option for all of the students. If they have any questions about how to do that, they can consult either CTET by emailing ctet@sonoma.edu, or they can consult directly with SSU Disability Services for Students.
