Qualtrics

SSU licenses Qualtrics to provide advanced survey capabilities to the campus. Qualtrics allows faculty, students, and staff to create and distribute both simple and complex surveys and analyze results.

Best Practices

  • Qualtrics is a very powerful tool, but is also very complex. Before you release your first major survey, we recommend that you test out a similar survey with a small number of contacts. That way, you can ensure that you are collecting the correct data and that your users can access it as you intended.

Get Support

If your question isn’t answered by the above resources, we encourage you to visit CTET either in person or via Zoom; Qualtrics questions are normally too complex to be answered by email or phone. You can find our current business hours and contact information, including our Zoom link, on our Contact Us page.

Because of Qualtrics' complexity, CTET's ability to answer technical questions about it is limited. If we can't answer your question, or if you want support outside of our business hours, you can contact Qualtrics customer support directly. To access Qualtrics customer support, log into Qualtrics, then click on the question mark icon in the top right corner of the screen. This will open the XM Support menu, which will provide you with direct access to their support articles. There is a link at the bottom of that window labeled "Contact support" that will then take you to their Customer Success portal, where you can access their technical support line as well as their training resources.

Student Support

CTET only supports faculty, not students. If your students report any issues to you, we would encourage you to look at the issue with them and, once you've documented it, report it to us. Then we can work with you to try to figure out the cause of the problem.

Additionally, students can access Qualtrics customer support. To access Qualtrics customer support, instruct your students log into Qualtrics, then click on the question mark icon in the top right corner of the screen. This will open the XM Support menu, which will provide them with direct access to Qualtrics support articles. There is a link at the bottom of that window labeled "Contact support" that will then take them to Qualtrics' Customer Success portal, where they can access Qualtrics' direct technical support line as well as Qualtrics' training resources.
